Is it possible to add an extension between this 24 pin male and 24 pin female?
I recently case swapped my alienware r12 but the case is a little too big and I want to connect this but it wont reach.

There's quite a few places you can get that from. 24-pin extension cable

It won't fry your PC. MB's don't take that much power. On the R12, the CPU has it's own 8-pin connection on the MB.

Were you able to wire the power switch ok? If not, I can tag one of our experts on the subject.

Did you buy an aftermarket PSU? Chances are you'll have extra connectors. There's going to be connectors for HDD's, DVD drives, and possibly etc.
What do you mean by "reset sw," reset switch?
By the way, I answered that the linked cable should work. But now I don't see my post.
Is the 8-pin cable for the CPU plugged in on the MB?

If you need led's and reset switch connected, but don't have the connectors, you may need adapters. Whatever adapter you can dream of can probably be googled. It's what I did when adding stuff to my PC, that and the Amazon search bar. SATA power to molex and you name it. If I'm off and/or you need more info, @redxps630 Is a good one to ask about wiring.
Also, what reset switch are you talking about - the case switch that turns off PC is case is open?

Those I don't have an answer for. The 2nd connector in the photo is unclear, possibly due to a shadow from the flash.

@Exotixs HDD LED +/- is for the LED that indicates HDD activity. You can leave that disconnected if you don't care about it since it's just an LED indicator.
The 2 (+/-) for Power LED are for the LED that lights up when the power is on. You can also leave that disconnected if you don't care about it.
Since a Dell motherboard does not confirm to the regular ATX standards, they will not have a direct connector pin for these.
If you have a motherboard that confirms to the regular ATX standard, it will look like this:
