17 R2, iPhone 7, USB connect/disconnect loop

I’m the same. Same model laptop. My iPhone 7 Plus simply connects and disconnects continuously. At first I thought it was the phone so I took it to the Apple store. Works completely fine on another laptop with my cable. My wireless mouse and keyboard work. I had a printer that would just print half pages continuously. I just replaced the printer 2 days ago and am having the same problem with the new printer not connecting properly. All of my hard drives work fine though. It’s been doing my head in and am seriously thinking about just buying a new laptop and going away from Alienware because of it.
