My battery also got bloated and destroyed my trackpad. And that after only 6 months. I have never seen such a bad laptop in my life. This is a shame. I will never buy another Dell product again.

Hi @Andrius.Karpas  internet search says Dell OEM battery replacements are available from UK and Ireland local vendors [Example]. Example is not a user to user recommendation.

Let me just make some facts here.

How does this make any sense? Like lets just think logically as what having a bad laptop means.

It means that specific laptop has issues that the company can fix for you or you can fix yourself.

It doesn't ever mean the entire company is terrible because if that made any sense, Alienware would've been out of business by now and so would Dell cause of the issues.

Now, I'm not saying your problem is not bad and I'm sorry about the trackpad issues but just think about what I wrote above and then reply.

I don't want this to come in an aggressive tone also.

Hi @brankogrcic  when new Dell laptop is delivered, owners are encouraged to check their laptop. This includes creation of Windows 10 Battery Report to check age of the battery. The useful typical life of Dell installed battery is about two years.

Dell FAQ: battery life saysFor the typical user, noticeable reduction in run time generally will be observed after 18 to 24 months. For a power user, reduction in run time generally may be experienced within 18 months.

If your new laptop is delivered with a very old Dell installed battery, you should have rejected the laptop within 30 days of placing order. Request new laptop or full refund in your formal complaint.

Dell says: battery is just like tires on vehicle, it is a consumable item. Battery is not covered after Laptop's first year Dell warranty. Separate Dell battery warranty provides guarantee to provide and install new battery, it does not cover the installed battery.

Anyone who buys a Tesla car and pays over 100,000 EUR, of course will not check whether there are spare batteries on the market. What do you want now that after I spent 2500 EUR and I have a laptop that is unusable? I drive a diesel Volkswagen which is not expensive.

Hi @brankogrcic  before driving away in your new expensive electric vehicle, do you check the vehicle's battery status and if replacement batteries are available in Switzerland?

I paid my Alienware 2500 EUR. And you're telling me now that I should have opened a new laptop and checked the battery status. I also have a 10 year old Macbook pro. Do you think Apple has these problems? I repeat: I am very sorry that I bought a Dell product. Now I have a broken laptop for which I can't even find a battery here in Switzerland. My wife (software engineer) warned me not to buy a Dell laptop and I didn’t listen to her. I regret it now.

In January 2019, I bought an Alienware M15 (16 Gb, 4K) for video editing purposes (2200 EUR). Immediately on the first day, I noticed that the screen had dead pixels and I notified technical support. They were not surprised and sent a service technician to replace the monitor. After 1 month the Intel graphics card started behaving strangely (screen flickering) and it took us almost 10 days to solve the problem (countless phone calls and instructions). One month later I had to replace the WIFI card because it also stopped working. And now,  a few days ago, the battery on my M15 swelled and destroyed my trackpad. When I took out the battery I thought it was going to explode. I tried to find the battery here in Switzerland but I couldn't find it. And to note, during all this time my laptop was behaving extremely badly (poor performance) that I had to do most of my work on a 10 year old Macbook.

And you're telling me about quality now. When you open Alienware and look at the parts you see how poor the quality is. 1 screw holding the trackpad was broken.

Just wondering why user to user, after 6 months with all of these many problems, you have not used your first year Dell warranty to get a refurbished replacement system?

I'll simply buy a new battery and trackpad, change it and then forget about Dell and Alienware.

Sounds good, wish my new Dell laptop problems were that easy to solve.
