m17 R4, keyboard lighting

Question

I just purchased a m17 R4 laptop for architectural design, I love it. This one came with a white keyboard and there is not enough contrast on the keys for me to see them Can I change the light blue to a dark color for the most contrast?

Hi @EDCSTEVE welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

The options for your model might include selection of different colours for the keyboard backlights. Hopefully both updates for (1) Alienware Command Center Application and (2) Alienware OC Controls Application, are already installed in Windows' Control Panel - Programs and Features.

Open the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) and there should be four tabs. Open the AWCC FX tab and then click on the keyboard backlight options to change LED colours. This will reveal the keyboard options for your model.

When I open Alien FX I get an error screen saying it is not compatible with my computer (see attached)
