m17 R5, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus

Alienware m17 R5 AMD

Good morning,

With NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, when I only select the usage of the NVIDIA GPU (3070 Ti), I noticed that there was slowdown on my simple tasks (Office, internet, non-gaming applications, etc...). Which led me to deactivate the Advanced Optimus option in the BIOS and this way I no longer have any slowdowns. But on the other hand the battery is much more stressed in this way.

Do you know a happy medium between the two methods? Is it possible to activate Advanced Optimus only on battery and deactivate it when it is plugged in without having to go through the BIOS each time it boots up?

Thanks in advance
