Mapping Avamar w/ Data Domain /REPLICATE one to many
Hey Avamar guru's... have a quick question regarding Avamar with Data Domain replication. The scenario is we have a Avamar with 500 TB Data Domain on prem replicating to a target AVE and multiple smaller 96 TB DDVE's in the cloud. The admin guide says:
"You cannot map the domains on the source Avamar server to a destination Data Domain system until after the first replication. During the first replication, all the data replicates to the default destination."
However, how can we do a first replication if the data will not all fit on a single target DD?

Here the first replication does not mean to replicate all. Just replicate one or two domains first and then do the storage mappings on the source Avamar server.
