Hi there,
Does anyone know if the CX4-4PDAE registers as a 3P shelf when install in a Clariion CX4-240?
Any documentation to support would be great help.

The CX3 supports the older DAE2, DAE2-ATA, DAE2P and DAE3P. The DAE3P will show up as a DAE3P in Navisphere under the Physical tree.
In Unisphere you'll have to go to the Hardware/Disk Enclosure/Properties to see the DAE type and the DAE3P will be listed as DAE3P.
I don't have any of the older DAE's attached to a CX3 to see what they show up as, but I would imagine it should show the actual type.
