Dell sale was an "price error" leading to cancellation at Dell's discretion
Everyone, please be aware of Dell's customer service and consumer approach when it comes to purchases. I placed an order for a Alienware desktop on sale which was then confirmed on Dell's end with a confirmation email to myself. Dell 24 hrs later sends a notification cancelling my order due to a "Pricing Error".
Multiple attempts have been made to Dell's customer service team to get more insight into this issue and whether there is a resolution. None of the agents at Dell (Customer Care, Sales and Complaints) were able to give a good enough explanation as to why there was a pricing error and whether there is any resolution for the customer. As a purchasing customer who made a legit order, this is actually quite disappointing and that a Multi-Billion dollar company won't even own up to their mistake and resolve this for the customer. The Desktop sale price was advertised for an entire day and with the confirmation coming in shortly after the order was placed.
