Enquiry about warranty prior to purchase - Alienware AW2725D

Hi,

I am looking to buy an Alienware monitor - AW2725D QD-OLED.

Had a few questions I wanted to ask -

1) The warranty period is of 3 years, as mentioned on site correct?

2) Does the warranty cover OLED burn ins? Am I eligible for a replacement/repair for burn ins?

3) Does the product support the "premium panel exchange"? I.e., 0 bright dead pixels and upto 5 black/dead pixels?

4) Does the monitor also come with advance panel exchange? i.e. in case of an approved replacement, will the replacement be sent to me first and the defective unit be picked up after the replacement has arrived?

I'd be making the purchase from dellstore.com, in India. So just wanted to confirm the warranty clauses for India region and whether above applies to here too

Thank you!

Yes, that is generalized policy page that does not mention exceptions.

The Dell India sales page is specific on what is covered =

AW2725D (₹57,099/$594.96)
3 Years Limited Hardware and Advanced Exchanged Service

AW2725DF(₹73,899/$770.02)
3-Year Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Exchange (Including coverage for OLED burn in)

Also, note the price difference which shows the ₹16,800/$175.05 mark up for better specs and including coverage for OLED burn in.

1) The warranty period is of 3 years, as mentioned on site correct?
* Yes.

2) Does the warranty cover OLED burn ins? Am I eligible for a replacement/repair for burn ins?
* Repair is never done on monitors.
* No. OLED burn-in would only happen if you leave static elements for extended periods. Use a screensaver. Vary the content onscreen. Perform the Menu --> OLED Panel Maintenance.

3) Does the product support the "premium panel exchange"? I.e., 0 bright dead pixels and up to 5 black/dead pixels?
* Yes.

4) Does the monitor also come with advance panel exchange? i.e. in case of an approved replacement, will the replacement be sent to me first and the defective unit be picked up after the replacement has arrived?
* Yes.

@DELL-ChrisM2

Hi Chris,

Thank you very much for your response.

Regarding your answer for burn ins (point 2), I've actually found some conflicting info.

For example, if you refer to this page - https://www.dell.com/support/contents/en-in/article/warranty/premium-support-for-monitors, it does mention in the disclaimers section that QD-OLED technology panels do come with burn in warranty protection as well for 3 years. It looks to be a generalized statement.

Can you please double confirm me if possible that AW2725D (it is QD OLED) does not come with burn in warranty (i.e. in case of severe burn ins, i am not eligible for a replacement within warranty period?)?

The upgraded model - AW275DF(Just comparing , my query is for AW2725D) does mention on its product page that it does come with burn in warranty, so kind of odd that AW2725D won't offer that, no? (link to product page - https://www.dell.com/en-in/shop/alienware-27-360hz-qd-oled-gaming-monitor-aw2725df/apd/210-blqh/monitors-monitor-accessories)

Thanks for your help
