Inquiry about accidental cover damage within warranty

Dear Dell Customer Support,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my warranty claim. I purchased a Dell laptop, which is still within its one year warranty period in Yangon, Myanmar. Unfortunately, an accidental spill caused battery damage, and when I reached out for support, I was informed that my warranty does not cover the issue and that no replacement would be provided. I understand that accidental damage may is not covered under standard warranties. However, I believe that Dell should offer a solution, such as a repair or a replacement option under an extended service program. I would appreciate it if you could review my case again and provide a resolution.

Here are my laptop details:

  • DELL Inspiron 3530 Platinum Silver(Intel Core i3-1305U,8GB,PCIe M 2 SSD 512GB, Win 11, 15.6 FHD)  (1 Year Parts & Service)
  • Purchase Date: [9/6/2024]

Please advise me on the next steps I can take to resolve this issue. I hope for a fair resolution, considering my loyalty to Dell as a customer. Looking forward to your prompt response.

Best regards, Dr. Thu Thu Zan, Yangon, Myanmar

The warranty does not cover repairs due to accidental damage -- this is true for all computer manufacturers.

The Inspiron 15 3530 never sold with the "Accidental Damage Service". You cannot add it. The solution is that you have to contact Dell Support in your country and pay for parts and service.
