**UPDATE: Fed Ex shows that it picked up my XPS computer on the 7th (today) & that it is delayed in Fort Worth--not sure why it is delayed. This at least establishes that the computer has been built and that Fed Ex has it. Projection now is that it is expected in Houston about the 12th. Given that Fed Ex says they have the computer, I can live with that.

12/7/22 After reading other Dell purchaser's comments, especially with an El Paso shipping point, I think I should be concerned about my purchase.
Ordered an XPS 8950 & monitor 11/20/22. Est shipping date 12/2/22 & delivery date for XPS 12/8/22. Received monitor 11/25/22--never opened, waiting for the desktop XPS. Since that time there have been estimated delivery dates of Dec 8 & 12 & 23rd with 23rd estimate coming 12/4/22.when I receiver an e-mail that the XPS order was delayed. Now there is another delivery date estimate of 12/7/22. (No explanation of why the delay, just that it has ben delayed.) (That was followed by a Your order has shipped e-mail.)
On 12/6/22 I received an e-mail that my XPS had Shipped 12/5/22 with a comment that the order has reached the local carrier & that I should check with them for accurate delivery dates. (Apparently Dell defines The Order as the paperwork information and not the item itself. How that translates into SHIPPED is beyond me.)
Unfortunately I did check with local delivery--Fed Ex. Their tracking page says a LABEL was created in El Paso 12/5/22 with a delivery date of 12/7/22 (Today) & there is a notation that the delivery date might be updated WHEN THE PACKAGE IS RECEIVED. Fed Ex's sliding bar chart shows only that the Label was created 12/5/22 & nothing else about the item being received or being in transit so receipt today is highly unlikely. What is just as likely is that this has been an appeasement e-mail & that a delivery date of 12/23/22 or later is still the order of the day.
Except that they might get cancellations if they were accurate about what is happening with delivery times, it would be much more simple & less convoluted if they just gave an accurate description of the situation.
El Paso is the port of entry for the system shipment (they're built by a contractor in Mexico).
Bear in mind that Dell never sees the shipment - they go directly from the manufacturing plant in Mexico to a FedEx distribution center for shipment. And given the time of year and shipment volumes surrounding the holidays, any shipping date is subject to slippage.
I ordered an Alienware Aurora R13 desktop on the 3rd. With expedited delivery I was told it would arrive between 8-13th, and the latest ship date would be the 12th. Through talking to customer service I was told my ship date was scheduled for the 12th, and that conversation took place on the 11th. The VERY NEXT DAY, the day they just told me my order would ship, I was told my order is delayed, and now I wasn’t expected to get it until the 28th. I asked why. They said because the processor is out of stock. So I asked why it is going to take two weeks for them to get me ONLY the processor. No reply. And this is after I spent around $6000 total with them, on the Pc and other products that I did get, but I also had problems with them shipping too. Unbelievable.
Edit: Not to mention, that would mean Dell knew the day before, and the entire 11 days, that I wasn’t going to get it. But purposely gave me inaccurate information the day before, only to tell me on the day it was to ship that I had to wait 15 more days.

Please private message the order details if you want us to check the reason for the delay and keep track of the order status for you.

Good luck. I'm having the same issue. Apparently expedited shipping does not help.
