using our dell rewards point balance at a retailer?

hello, my question is coming from edmonton in canada. according to the faq, we can use our dell rewards offline:

"Yes, just let your rep know you have Dell Rewards points you would like to convert to a Dell Dollars."

i am not aware of any dell locations other than best buy so i called one and the agent said that they only deal with "best buy points" even though they may be selling dell products. can i get a clarification on this, please? thank you!

thanks. not sure why it was necessary to pm me that, as it could be helpful information for someone else searching this. perhaps updatimg the dell rewards faq is due?

anyway, here is the msg i got for anyone else curious:
