DDVE on Proxmox (KVM) locksup

Does DDVE support proxmox? (KVM Hypervisor)

I installed eval version ok, setup a Veeam backup server and threw data at it, but the DDVE (v7.7.5.30-1091295) locks up completely - intermittently.  IP is still pingable, sometimes CLI is responsive but typing any command just sits there and web UI either doesnt show at all or shows "Bad Gateway, the proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server" (I'm not using a proxy)

Any ideas?
