Limit Email Alerts in DPA

Hello esteemed forum Masters,

I'm having a problem with a failed backup jobs alert I have set to send an email to myself when a job fails. I'd like it to only do when a group fails but no luck. My issue is now that when multiple jobs fail I'm getting a flood of emails pouring out, many duplicates but definitely in excess of 100,000 emails for maybe 5000 failed jobs. Is there anyway in the alerts policy you can limit the number of emails allowed to be sent by DPA?
