OME 4.2 and latest Catalog shows wrong DUP for 15Gen. Servers

After upgrading to 4.2 and with the latest releases to the default catalog we see DUP "YETI CPLD - XR11, XR12" -> https://www.dell.com/support/home/de-de/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=V788P.

For sure none of our Hosts have Nvidia Bluefield DPUs installed. I have in mind than i already read a post about that issue some weeks ago. So it might not be related to OME 4.2 but in general to the catalog.

Also the naming is confusing because we dont have XR11 server... instead we have normal PowerEdge R750.

Regards,
Joerg

Origin3k,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, I have relayed the information to the OM team, and they are looking into it. I am not certain how long it will take to resolve, but will keep my ears open.

This is how it look. It will not harm the server if you try to upgrade the component. It will just create a error within iDRAC LCM.

Origin3k,

It looks like there may be an upcoming release that will address the issue, I don't have specifics on release date, but I believe it is very soon.

Catalog 24.08.12 / 24.10.07 / 24.10.14 have erroneously attached SoftwareComponent V788P to Device componentID 27763, which it claims is

      <Device componentID="27763" embedded="0">
        <Display lang="en"><![CDATA[YETI CPLD - XR11, XR12]]></Display>
      </Device>

however 27763 is "System CPLD" in the iDRAC firmware inventory.

As @Origin3k notes, this is harmless but noisy. Hopefully Dell Server Catalog will revert this entry in the next release.

New issue of this category here. OME 4.2.0 offers "Windows Server 2025 Driver 7.729.01.00 for PERC Controllers" to a PowerEdge R750xs with Server 2022 Datacenter.

Thanks for the input, i will check with the escalation team to fix that.

I've had issues with Marvell QLogic 2x32Gb QLE2772 FC HBA firmware

The latest version on the Dell support site is 16.20.10 however OME is offering 16.25.11

The link takes you here

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=2JN41

I already have a case open as I think this update is breaking the HBA. It appears the firmware has been withdrawn from Dell support but not the OME catalog.

The problem persists in OME 4.3.0. The strange thing is: the server is a node in a two-node-failovercluster. For the other server with exactly the same hardware the wrong driver will not offered.
