Why are Message ID: RAC1287 alerts flagged as critical

Is there a way to reclassify SNMP alert type RAC1287 as being a warning rather than a critical alert?
Dell OME will send critical alerts to our PagerDuty system and trigger a series of SLAs and support processes, creating hassles and workload. This alert does not seem to be critical. It could be considered a warning, especially if the overwriting of the LC logs is very common in our environment.

The description is of this type:

Message Event occurred for Device Name: hostname, Device IP Address: 172.xx.xx.xx, Service Tag: XYZ123X, UTC Time: 2024-01-01 02:19:33.112, Severity: Warning, Message ID: RAC1287, Message ID: RAC1287, Device Display Name: N/A, The Lifecycle Log storage space in the Archived category is 70% utilized. Older Lifecycle Log data will be automatically deleted when the Archived storage space is full (100%)., Device Status: 4, Device FQDD: , System Service Tag: XYZ123X, System Name: hostname, Chassis Service Tag: XYZ76Y, Chassis Name: Main System Chassis, RAC FQDN: hostname.subdomain.domain.com

Recommended Action Export the Lifecycle log data to either a Network share Location (NFS, CIFS, HTTP or HTTPS) or a local system. By using the iDRAC Graphical User Interface (GUI), click Maintenance > Lifecycle Log > Export. For information about storage space limitations and purging in Archived mode, see the iDRAC Users Guide available on the support site.

Hello,

unfortunately it is not possible to change the severity of an event.

Anyway which Poweredge model is it?

Did you check if there are some iDRAC firmware update?

Thanks

I have two types of DELL PE models in my fleet:
DELL PE R740
DELL PE 6420

Is there a way to at least disable alerting in the DELL OpenManage Enterprise Alert policies? These are the options:

  All

........
........

   Dell Storage
   iDRAC
   IF-MIB
   Internal Events Catalog
........
........

Under iDRAC, I have:
   Audit
   Configuration
   Storage
   System Health
   Updates
   Work Notes

They each have their own subcategories.
