Dell OME server discovery issue

Hi All,

I am not able to discover the server in DELL OME. It is coming up as unknown device. I tried to check through Troubleshooting tool and it is prompting me the below error.

"
Openwsman Project Exception: Input string was not in a correct format.
"

DELL OME Version :- 2.2.0.2056

DELL Open manage systems management software:- 8.5.0

Hi Ankur,

Thanks for the query.

How are you discovering the server, meaning, through OS IP or out-of-band iDRAC IP?

Below is what OME recommends:

  1. Out-of-band iDRAC discovery method - preferred protocol is WSMAN.
  2. OS IP - recommend to have supported OMSA installed on OS and discover using SNMP.
  3. Check firewall settings if they are blocking any of the above protocol related traffic.
