Others have had this issue and addressed it by applying the latest ConfigMgr patches from Microsoft. I don't have the KB article handy, but there is one patch that addresses issues with importing drivers.

I can confirm that after running all patches/rebooting that this still does not work for me. I already had SCCM fully patched and just went ahead with server updates. Any idea what that KB was?

KB2213600 is the other with KB2513499 addressing an issue with Categories that shows up with KB2213600.

KB978754 is one of the patches that has helped with driver imports. I believe there is another, still digging.

I can confirm that KB978754 does not fix the issue for me. The other 2 will not load.

I have the same problem here. I doubt it is a problem with ConfigMgr, since I can import the drivers manually without any problem.

I'm having this issue as well. Config mgr 2007 version 4.00.6487.2000 with R2 installed. I have downloaded the latest dcip 2.0 and I'm using the latest version of the cab file for an Optiplex 990. I run the wizard with no error, but find no drivers listed under the 990-Windows7-x86-A02 package.

Has anyone found a solution?

Can I just go ahead and import the drivers from the source directory and then link them to this empty package?

Followup to this issue is I've tried importing the cab file for a Dell Latitude E6220 with no luck. I have also tried downgrading DCIP 2.0 to version 1.2 and still no drivers in the package. I have monitored site status for any error during the import and everything goes fine. I would think there would be an error if there is some sort of permission issue.

I have also tried restarting the server after installing DCIP 2.0.

I'm at a loss to where the issue is. I'm thinking there is something wrong with DCIP in general.
