Dell Inspiron 5680 - wireless card upgrade - PCIE instead of M.2?

Can you install a PCIE wireless card in the Dell Inspiron 5680s circa 2018? And if so would I need to remove my M.2 wireless card to keep them from interfering. My M.2 wireless card is starting to fritz out and there seem to be a lot more options for wireless cards in PCIE slots.

if you have both wireless card present Windows will prompt you with wireless 1 and 2 in WLAN for you to choose only one to use at a time.  so there is no actual device interference.

Or just disable the M.2 WiFi card in Device Manager...

you can remove the M.2 card and install PCIe slot card.  both go to PCIe lane anyway, only the front door is of different size
