Graphics Card Upgrade

Hi, I am new to gaming (sending question on behalf of my daughter).

We have a Dell Inspiron 3881 8 GB PC with an Intel UHD 630 graphics card.

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card to a more suitable graphics card - the game requires either an AMD Radeon HD 7870 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 card.

Would these graphics cards fit into the existing chassis? Has anyone upgraded their Inspiron 3881 for gaming?

Any help gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

depending on your stock psu power rating, Dell Inspiron 3881 psu may or may not need to upgraded to support a GTX660.  If you have the 360w psu, that is good for GTX 660.  If 200-260w, the psu does not have a 6 pin PCIe connector required for GTX 660.  you should upgrade to 360w psu which has a 6 pin PCIe connector (black).

HD7870 requires more power.  amd card usually does.  it needs two 6 pin PCIe connectors.  for HD7870 you need to upgrade psu to 460w or 500w Dell proprietary thin form factor psu.

cards come in various sizes.  you want to pick a card that does not exceed max length of this pc case can accommodate.

based on depth of 3881 case below, it can support standard length gpu which is about 10.5".  case supports full height double slot width card as well.
