I have attached a file call 0toF_BAT.txt.  It is a batch file that needs re-naming to run.

As it is all TXT it can be read before committing.

0toF.bat will run and display something resembling the blue piccy above.

You simply press the number or letter of your choice and copy anything relevant.

4 will list MAC addresses, and there will be one for each device present, WiFi, Bluetooth and Adapter (probably).

The ping, option 1, as above hopefully

I tried that you suggested. Not sure if I did it right but it says No network adapters found. 

And There is no wireless interface on the system.

Which kind of makes sense as it says the same when checking on device manager. Do you have any idea why is that?

As I tried installing adapters but nothing worked.

NO, not really.

The getmac is pretty much the lowest level command.

Arguably ping 127.0.0.1 which is a loopback from the 'adapter' is very low-level.

So begin at the beginning...

A bit of a piccy from an old HP laptop, that on the initial/opening screen lists/shows a WiFi and BlueTooth are known about, RTL8734BE.

So maybe you can access similar, and also run a diagnostic, (Reboot the PC and tap F12 at the Dell logo, then choose Diagnostics), and see what if anything is available to diagnose?

I have run diagnostic. It said no problems have been found. Something similar. I forgot exactly.

So we don't know if the diagnostic ran a test on the Wi-Fi adapter, because we dont know if you have a valid Wi-Fi card.

My BIOS has a Wi-Fi option to do updates/recovery without an OS being booted.

Next is the mystery of why the USB adapter does not show.  How are you actually managing to post?

So we factor in the loss of Ethernet to compound the missing USB and Wi-FiBlueTooth and conclude ....

It could be the OS.  So we attempt to use another OS/Rescue system.

Linux Mint 22.3, Debian 13 or even SystemRescue is a primary Linux-based toolkit designed to repair and recover data from Linux and Windows systems after a crash.

You just want to boot and use, temporarily, a Live Linux like MINT to see if your ethernet and/or wifi return.

I was thinking that it might be this problem. But why wouldn't usb wifi adapter work then? I think it should work if that is the case.

I will have a look at BIOS again tomorrow. 

Yh, i don't get why usb adapter doesn't work. I was so convinced that it is faulty but then I tried on other device and it worked perfectly. 

I can't figure it out. When i went to talk about this to the place they fix computers they told me that 100% usb adapter will solve this. Do you have any idea why USB doesn't work?

Also USB works on PC. I mean i can plug usb stick to transfer data and it works. So this excludes.

I post on my phone. I actually do all on my phone. No choice really. I do have a tablet but its horrible. 

Just to make clear you mean install Linux through USB?

Also would it delete any data on my pc?

Perhaps invest in a wheelbarrow, load up your tower and move it close enough the the router to connect, via a patch/ethernt cable, or get a long ethernet cable, and try that.

I use a USB to Ethernet adapter from my old Lenovo.

For those times when Wi-Fi fails.

A live Linux Mint does not install, it runs from, rather lumpily, the USB stick it resides on, and it is only to try and see if there is a WiFi adapter.  It is just a possibility to try and find the blockage.

Tells me I have a connection etc etc.

It would be QI (quite interesting) to see if Device Manager has it hidden, that Zyxel is as old as the hills, but it gets me a WiFi connection when others wont.
