Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI Missing in Device Manager
Inspiron 3268
I have an Inspiron 3268 Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor running Windows 10 Home Version Edition, 22H2, OS Build 19045.3086, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0
I recently updated Windows 10 with the newest feature update and KB5027538 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 and KB4023057: Update Health Tools—Windows Update Service components. My battery still only charged up to 91% after running the Troubleshooter. I found a "fix" online that said to uninstall the Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI - Compliant Control Method Battery drivers and restart to re-install them. Now neither appear in Device Manager. Only the HID UPS Battery icon appears. How do I reinstall the Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI - Compliant Control Method Battery? My PC only charges to 98% plugged in. Thank you.
