What would void Dell warranty

maybe common sense.

Actions or damage that cause physical harm, use of unapproved non-Dell parts that lead to a failure, or unauthorized modifications will void a Dell warranty for that specific damage.
Actions That Void Coverage

Physical Damage: Drops, cracks, crushed chassis, or liquid spills caused by accidents or misuse.

Damaging Upgrades: While replacing user-accessible parts like RAM or storage is generally allowed, breaking a component during the installation or using faulty third-party hardware that directly damages the system will void coverage for that issue.

Extreme Modifications: Overclocking, modifying the BIOS or firmware, or undervolting components if it causes permanent hardware stress or failure.

Unauthorized Repairs: Service or disassembly performed by anyone outside of Dell-authorized providers that results in internal damage.

Tag Tampering: Removing, altering, or defacing the service tag or serial number label
