Black screen - not loading up

Hi Everyone

I have a problem with my sisters Inspiron.

When you power it on.. The black screen with the dell logo comes up.

It said something about a problem with the battery, so i purchased a new battery and installed it today.

I have charged it up and nothing has changed, still the same issue.

Yes it can save data prior reinstalling OS

You will need an external drive or Large enough drive for that. You can have detailed video here.

Okay just download an updated BIOS onto a usb and installing that now, let's see if that solves it.

Did you try to click on Start Repair : ??

Reboot to BIOS (F2) > RESET to default

If you don't have data on the machine and willing to go for a full wipe >>

Reboot to F12 > SupportAssist OS Recovery > RESET > RESET and update

If you have important data on the machine which you wanna save, you will need an external Drive

Reboot to F12 > SupportAssist OS Recovery > RESET > Backup
