Dell G3 15 3500 & WD19 Docking power error message
I have a new Dell G3 15 3500 with Thunder Bolt and a DELL WD19 docking station. When I plug in the docking station into the laptop Thunder Bolt port receive a error after boot: "Warning your port does not accept power. To supply power to your system while docked attach a power adapter to your system." When the power pack that came with my laptop is plugged into the laptop power port I still get the same message. There is no issue when the docking station is not used and the docking station works with my DELL Precision 5530 work laptop. Does have anyone have a solution? Thanks

D_D_H,
The G7 7700 is a gaming laptop, the WD19S is a commercial dock which is not compatible with this system, more details here:

@Drake_1588 This has come up a few times here. The answer is that Dell would need to provide a firmware update allowing that error message to be disabled. Ironically they offer that capability for the warning about connecting an undersized power adapter, but (as of this writing) not for the warning about connecting a USB PD power source to a port that doesn't accept power. So for now, the only option is to choose to ignore the message each time. I'm surprised to hear that this occurs even when another power source is attached though. I hope Dell actually addresses this, because while I can understand the value of that warning for awareness, it doesn't make sense not to provide a way to disable it for users who are already aware of the limitation. That type of error message that can't be disabled means it would also be impossible to restart the system remotely and have it boot back into Windows, which can become a major issue in some use cases.

Same issue with my G7 7700 and a WP-19S. I've done all the troubleshooting and set all the BIOS settings and disabled all the warnings related to docks and USB-C - no joy. What makes it particularly frustrating is that the external 130W power supply IS connected. I get providing the warning if the USB-C dock is the only connected power source, but it isn't - so PLEASE, Dell, don't make it impossible for me to boot my laptop with the lid closed/remotely/without physically clicking Continue every time I boot up.

@DELL-Jesse L Dear Jesse, thanks for the news. I learn from you for the first time that the DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.1, RJ-45 protocols are commercial only and not for general use. So for gaming laptops, we have to use floppy disks. The problem is that these docks don't work well even for compatible models and this annoying message is just a simple BIOS issue. Because in fact, if you ignore the message, the dock works. Okay, intermittently, but it works

Hi, but the list shared does not show any compatibility with the G series. Which one Will be the one for those?
