Inspiron 15 3530, unlocking 3200 MT/s DDR4 speed via SaSetup override

Hi,

I have a Dell laptop, but not the exact same model used in the experiment. My system is:

• Dell Inspiron 15 3530
• Intel Core i7 13th Gen (U series)
• 16 GB DDR4 RAM (single module)
• One empty RAM slot
• Current memory speed: 2667 MT/s

I understand that this model may have different BIOS configurations and memory limitations compared to other Dell systems.

I came across a method using GRUB (modGRUBShell.efi) to modify hidden BIOS variables (SaSetup) in order to unlock higher memory speeds (e.g., 3200 MT/s).

However, since my laptop is a different model, I’m not sure if the same offsets or variables would apply.

My questions are:

• Has anyone tried this method on the Inspiron 15 3530 or a similar Dell model?
• Are the SaSetup offsets model-specific?
• Is the 2667 MT/s limit imposed by BIOS or hardware?

I am aware of the risks (BIOS corruption, bricking), so I would only proceed if there is confirmed success on this specific or very similar model.

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
