Original McAfee pop ups keep coming back
I have an Inspiron laptop. I have installed a purchased McAfee virus protection versus updating the originally installed McAfee virus protection. I still get pop ups to sign up for the original vp but my manually installed McAfee is still good for another year. How can I stop these pop ups?

McAfee is pre-installed on the PC due to which the error stating ‘Warning: Your Virus Protection is Expiring’ on McAfee shall appear. The easiest retort to this constant message is to uninstall McAfee, especially if McAfee is not the primary antivirus you use. Thanx Adrian, I was going to try that but I have installed a McAfee antivirus so when I tried to uninstall the old one, there is only one in the list of programs. And it is the one I installed last year. None other shows up, at least as McAfee.

I purchased a new dell laptop and immediately uninstalled the mcaffee program. I just received a pop up asking me to make it the primary program. How is this possible if I uninstalled the program. None of the links on support or anything I've found so far at Dell or McAfee Can anyone explain why this nasty imbedded program is still on this machine. There is supposed to be a link to a tool to download but that link isnt working for me on Dell support site.
I hate the habit of all these companies loading nefarious programs like this on machines.
