Screen flickering at the bottom of the screen and somehow reflect what is at
the top of the screen.
Hello I have a Dell G7 7700 17, I got it almost a year now and lately (a few months) I have this issue with some horizontal lines at the size and at the place of the taskbar which pop up randomly. This is usually not shown when I play games or watch movies in fullscreen. I saw this which is pretty close to what is going on with my laptop Solved: Re: m17 R3, Windows update, flickering at bottom of screen - Dell Community I tried to do the same but it didnt fix it. Also had a live chat agent who took over to try and fix it but still we couldn't find anything to fix it. I know that whenever I disable Intel UHD Graphics Driver in Device Manager > Display Adapters, the problem is gone but then I'm left with Nvidia Adapter which gives my screen 64Hz instead of 144 with Intel and I can't play games or watch downloaded movies because I get really low FPS. I used to have Windows 11 Insider version (The laptop came with Windows 10 though) and I thought the latest update of Windows 11 caused this problem but I did a format and the issue is still presented even though I installed all the new updates, rolled back some drivers and still nothing happened. The laptop is 100% not damaged or anything I tried to open close the lid but that doesn't do anything at all. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem?
Screen flickering in Windows 10 is usually caused by a display driver issue or incompatible app. To determine whether a display driver or app is causing the problem, check to see if Task Manager flickers. Then, based on that information, you'll need to update, rollback, or uninstall your display driver or update or uninstall the app.
Hello yes I found out it's the Intel display adapter as I mentioned above. When I disable it the flickering is gone but my screen is set to 64hz somehow instead of 144. I tried updating/uninstalling it nothing works.
The service is finished yes but the problem is not gone and the motherboard that was brought by the tech was a refurbished one and I didn't want to give away mine for that... He did a format to the laptop and it was working properly until an update on the intel display adapter happened and it started doing it again. I thought the motherboard that was coming would be new. If the motherboard was not a faulty one that got repaired but a factory made I would've swapped it with mine...
I hope you are doing fine. I'm Akhilesh, Following up on behalf of the case owner.
Our records indicate that the service has been completed. Could you check if your system is working fine now and confirm if I can be of any further assistance?
I was trying to deal with this issue for a while. The solution is on intel graphics command center.
I could not upload image because this website didnt allow me . Sorry for inconvenience.
Download or open intel graphics command center.
Go to system tab on the left
Select power on top.
Turn off all settings available. (It is also solving your adaptive fan settings. If you have not noticed yet, this power settings are also blocking your pc to choose adaptive fan speed. )
