I am using the Dell G3 15 Gaming Laptop, and wish to upgrade the SSD. would this the Samsung 970 pro compatible with this laptop and would this be overkill?
That drive should work as it conforms to the G3 specs (up to 1 TB). However Dell systems can be quirky with the 970 drive. Many users have installed it without a problem while others have experienced some issues. Just be sure you purchase from a retailer that allows you to return if you have problems.
