Wifi card upgrade, Dell Inspiron 5720

Hello! I have a Dell Inspiron 5720 & I have never upgraded the Wi-Fi card. Is there any upgrades I can do for this laptop?

You can use any mini-PCIe wifi card -- up to and including wifi-6.  There won't be any Intel cards at that level (newer systems use an M.2/NGFF format your old system won't take), but they do exist.

Hello ejn63,

so I saw your post before. You said it was an example, but is that example exactly what I can use or get that can be utilized to upgrade my PC's wi-fi card specifically?

That card will work with your system, if you're looking for Wifi 6 -- you aren't being particularly specific in exactly what you want the upgrade to do that your current card cannot.

I was able to install a Wi-Fi 6E in my XPS 15 9570 which is as far it can go. My machine is 8th gen so I used the AX210 but more recent machines like my Latitude 5540 have a AX211 factory installed which is needed by the changes in the slot.
