How can you tell which monitor you have

The original specs for my Inspiron 3800 showed it had a Samsung monitor, but I had it replaced shortly after I got it because it contained too many bad pixels.

Whenever I go to the download page to check on updated drivers and I get to the video section, I never have a clue as to what model of a monitor I have and I cannot find a way to determine what model it is.  I've run the system profiler on the Dell Premier site but that tells me nothing - just says "plug & Play monitor".  Is there any other place I can look to find a model #?

Bladeder,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

All of the Monitor drivers on the Dell Website are for external monitors.  None of the them is for the LCD in your portable.

The internal LCD requires no driver.

Thanks, odd that they'd have external monitor drivers listed under downloads for a laptop, but I'm glad to know I'm not missing out on a better driver.
