Uninstall a keyboard

I have a inspiron 8600 running xp pro and 1 gig of memory. I installed the microsoft keyboard elite for bluetooth a while ago everything worked fine. Last friday a windows update for my video card messed up my laptop. With the help of Dell paid support and 2 hours later we got it fixed. Now every time i boot up i get a message files are missing to uninstall the keyboard and reinstall. I go to add and remove programs and it is not listed any more. I manually delete the the program though program files and then the drivers through device manager. I re boot amd check my msconfig to see if it is in the startup file and it is not there. I try to re-load the file and it says there is a program already running, I must uninstall it and reinstall the program.
How can i get rid of the old so i can install the new??
