64-bit Win10 Pro touchpad issue, D630
Just did a clean install today after upgrading from Win7 to 32-bit Win10 using the M/S Media Creation Tool yesterday. No issues with the upgrade yesterday and today's exercise has been mostly successful except for one little annoyance. I've not been able to find the touchpad/pointing stick utility that allows for adjustments. Mostly I'd like to be able to disable the touchpad and it's associated buttons as I've habitually always liked and used the pointing stick. I rest my palms on the palmrest and frequently inadvertently press either a button or the palmrest itself with unwanted consequences. Any help with this will be much appreciated.

I think this issue can be categorized as resolved. I threw a little wider net onto the web and came up with a driver that seems to have done the trick:
Touchpad_Alps_W7_W8_A04_Setup-7GYYN_ZP
or
Dell Touchpad A04 8.1200.101.217
Finger duly crossed. I'll update if this turns out to be less than optimal.

Thanks, just checked and found nothing relating to any pointing devices anywhere in bios.

Is there a setting in the BIOS to always use the trackpoint?
I seem to recall seeing that choice in my D620.

Apologies if anyone saw my previous response, since deleted. I was thinking of a little issue I'm having with an E7470 that I recently acquired. But as for the D630, the touchpad/pointstick are still both working flawlessly and are fully adjustable in the normal fashion, so yes, I'd say that the issue is fully resolved. It's running 64-bit W10Pro pretty flawlessly for ordinary purposes with an ssd and only 3GB of memory.
