Black screen after ram upgrade

Question

Hello,

My laptop is Latitude 5590. I bought Kingston HyperX Impact 32GB (16GBX2) 2400MHz SDRAM so-DIMM 260-pin to upgrade my computer, but when I turn my computer on, so there is not coming anything on the screen. Black screen and just power led blink 2 times orange and 3 times white color. I update bios but it doesn't help. What is the problem with my computer?

PS: there is not any problems when I put old ram. The computer works without any problems.

That blink code indicates no RAM detected (blink codes are here). That seems to indicate incompatible RAM. Have you tried each stick independently to see if the system boots fine with 1 x 16 GB RAM module? It is possible that you have a bad RAM module. Dell systems can be touchy about RAM and the most compatible is Crucial RAM (site is down for maintenance at the time of this post).

Yes I have tried each stick with 1x16 GB ram module but it is the same situation. Can I do something with Bios if it is help to work ram?

If you have already installed the most recent BIOS version then there is nothing in the BIOS that should help. Since you are seeing the blink code then that answers the question as to whether the BIOS even sees the new RAM. The BIOS cannot detect the new RAM.

Crucial page here shows compatible RAM.

Hi just updating , I had a similar issue got 2x 8gb 2666 CL15 hyper x HX426S15iB2K/16 , and installed them on the two slots at the bottom , at first it didn't boot up ,

in order to troubleshoot

then removed one module from C slot and it booted , I then tried the ram module that was on the C slot on A slot and it also booted thus proving that both rams were good ,

tried again with all 4 modules installed the system did not boot , I then figured it would have to work in pairs so I had to disassemble the keyboard to gain access to the memory banks B and D , took a wild guess that slots A and B worked together so installed the hyperx modules on these two , then the stock hynix modules on slots C and D ,

the system booted and recognized all modules ,

so I guess if you going to pair them maybe try the same ,
