Dell Command | Configure fails to disable SMM Security Mitigation via cctk command
Hi guys,
in the company where I work we have more than 200 Latitude 5300 and for a few days we have verified that during the installation of the Thunderbolt firmware update the PCs freeze forcing a forced restart. Here I have read that the solution is to disable "SMM Security Mitigation"in BIOS and it actually works but since we have many laptops with this problem I tried to disable SMM for all with the executable generated by Command Configure but returns with (There was an error setting the option 'SmmSecurityMitigation');
even if I try to give the command manually " cctk.exe --SmmSecurityMitigation=Disabled " the error is the same; the "Enabled" settings works.
How can i solve the problem on all laptops without having to manually configure the BIOS on all of them?
Unfortunately, this process has to be done manually on each system. Updating to the Bios version 1.9.2, should take care of this situation and you would be able to update without having to disable the "SMM Security Mitigation".
