Several issues with Dell Latitude 7480

Hello,

I have a Dell Latitude 7480 and below is several problems i had with this laptop,

So I bought this laptop around 9 months ago from now, it worked fine, no problems. Until one day (about 3 months ago) when I plugged it, smoke came out of the charging port (I googled this thing after some time and i found it happened to a couple people with different Dell laptops too). I instantly unplugged it of course to avoid any damage, tho it really smelt bad like melted plastic, i plugged it back and it worked just fine, except.. When I turned it on, there was this message "AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined" which has never appeard to me before (i googled this too and it was another problem people had, tho not for the same reason as mine).

As the PC was on, it was not charging, i tried unplugging and plugging it back a couple times until eventually the icon, and the light indicator actually worked, plus, a very high pitched contiuous electric noise coming out of the charging port (also new thing), and it was indeed charging (that warning message about the "AC adapter" wouldnt show up if i restarted it in that state too).

Another thing that happened Obviously that I noticed after using it, was that the battery doesnt nearly last as much as before (it used to last about 2 hours on intensive usage, now it doesnt reach 30 minutes idling).

Also i noticed that when it runs out of power it doesnt even give a proper warning about low battery (which it did before) but just after giving the warning it instantly turns off (i managed to make it so it just goes on sleep mode to avoid the struggle).

As i knew the battery was damaged obviously I just gave up and kept using it plugged. A couple days after, I turned the PC on and a new warning appeard, by itself "Fan malfunction", this time i was concerned since That, would actually affect the laptop's performance rather than its mobility. when It turned on nothing seemed suspicious, until a bit of time, the laptop was heating up, and there was no sound coming out, I kinda panicked, but then when I plugged the charger, the fan randomly started, at a high speed since the laptop was kinda hot, and from that it worked normally, until I turned off the PC. (This one, I have never found anyone with the same problem, only people I found had a problem where the fan wouldnt stop running).

Another problem, is that plugging the charger makes the laptop laggy, until i rotate it a little bit (since it's a 360° cable).

All in all it's an entire mess of common problems with Dell laptops linked to eachother, and Im mostly weirded out by why is the fan linked to the charging port ???

To summarise my current problems that i want solutions for:

-Pc charging whenever it wants to

-Fan turns on Exclusively when laptop is overheating and when charger plugged in

-Plugging charger makes pc laggy until rotating it (which may result in the fan turning off again)

I know it is EXTREMELY specific and weird, but it is really whats happening right now, Im only keeping up with this laptop because i can work thru these problems but its still annoying to keep worrying about these small things over and over so please help me find a solution.

Thanks in advance
