Smart Card Reader for Latitude 7410
Okay, I'm entirely new to dell products so please go easy on me with the replies. I recently purchased the Latitude 7410 and it has a Smart Card reader. I practically have no idea what that thing does so can someone please enlighten me? Does it read credit cards? (I can hear the facepalms from a mile away). Thanks a bunch.

These are generally used as authentication for corporate networks -- either for logon to active directory, VPN, databases, etc. -- they're not designed as credit card readers.
