Standard VGA Graphics Adapter/Missing GPU
Hi Dell community,
This is my first post here and I am looking for some insight.
I have a Dell Latitude E6410 that i have been working on for the past 3 days non stop. I think I am almost there, I have flashed the most up to date BIOS, installed what I believe are the most useful Drivers (LAN/ WLAN, Multi Touch, ect).
I am stuck at the point of:
1.Installing the GPU Driver.
I am aware that this machine contains a: NVIDIA NVS 3100M - 512 MB Display Adapter.
I have used both Dell and NVIDIA's website to locate the Necessary Driver for this card, but upon install I am told that this Machine does not have the required hardware for this software.
I am starting to think that this machine does not, in fact, have any GPU. In addition I have also thought this machine should not be running windows 7 and maybe converting to windows 10 would solve this issue.
Below I have included a screen shot of what my device manager looks like. Are there any suggestions as of to what I might be doing wrong, or am I just poking at something that is completely not possible?
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated as i'm drinking a mug filled with unsweetened almond milk waiting for the next idea to go off in my head.
Thank you,
J Man

The Latitude E6410 spec sheet here lists both Intel HD Graphics and an NVIDIA GPU option. I'm wondering if that system could be ordered with either an Intel GPU or an NVIDIA GPU. Have you tried installing the Intel HD Graphics drivers instead to see if they get accepted to replace that Standard VGA Graphics adapter? If so, then your particular E6410 doesn't seem to have an NVIDIA GPU.
Another place you can check would be your BIOS Setup. The top "System information/summary" item should list the key hardware in your system, including GPU. What does that say?

Run system diagnostics to find any errors with the GPU. Restart the system and at the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics and watch for GPU errors.

Thank you for all of your support guys, It turns out this issue fixed its self with a few windows updates that were standards. Also, shout out to JPHUGHAN for the keen eyes who did find, that this pc that I have does not have the NVIDIA GPU Optional update.
