What is the true model number
Good day, all
With the new Dell model numbers, how do I know when the hardware changes and I have to create a new image for my company?
Currently, I have Dell 5520, 5530, 5540, ect... images. For the new models, how do I know when the hardware changes? On my packing slip, I do see a "PB16250" in the description for my Dell Pro 16 Plus. Is that the actual model?
Thank you,

Yes it is -- Dell is phasing out the model line names (Inspiron, Vostro, XPS, Latitude) in favor of the new nomenclature.

@ejn63 So, "PB16250" is the new model number. Got it. Thanks for the quick response!

@ejn63 One more question, if you know. Does a certin character in the model name PB16250 identify a major change? Or a minor change?

@frantza If you mean generation then 25 is year/generation,
