Precision 5520 -install Ubuntu over windows?

Hello,   I am looking at purchasing the Precision 5520. As Dell no longer accepts btc as payment, I am looking to purchase it from overstock as they accept btc:   This laptop can be purchased from Dell with Ubuntu installed.   If I purchase it from Overstock however, it will come with Windows (?). Will I be able to install Ubuntu (Kubuntu to be precise) on it? Are there extra drivers/configurations needed that I can download from Dell - or does the existing Windows install make it impossible to install Ubuntu?   Thanks!

I tried installing Ubuntu 16.04 on Precision 5520 (Windows 10 is pre-installed)

I got stacked because the ubuntu installing program could not find the hard disk.

However, by changing a SATA mode in BIOS to 'AHCI' as the instruction of the web page, I managed to install Ubuntu 16.04 on Precision 5520 with Windows 10.
