I have the same problem on a Dell G7 17".
I have tried it with KUbuntu 19.10 and with openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Neither the sleep nor the hibernate function works.
- Monitor goes black
- sometimes the fan (CPU cooler) is still spinning.
- Battery consumption is much higher than it should be.
