reset unity xps 9360 DE 16.04.1 LTS

Evening all..

I have changed my desktop - moved task bar to bottom, rremoved some icons, etc etc,  and want to restore the desktop back to original install.

Read about:

  dconf eset -f /org/compiz/

setsid unity

and
unity --reset

Don't want to mess with anything except the desktop..

It appears that answer was for older versions of Ubuntu.  Another post suggests the unity tweak tool for newer versions of Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool

unity-tweak-tool --reset-unity

REBOOT

It seems this works. I've giving it a try, if it doesn't I'll try unity-tweak-tool --reset-unity

mv ~/.confif/dconf/user ~/.config/dconf/user.old

askubuntu.com/.../how-do-i-reset-my-unity-configuration
