WiFi not working (16.04) 4.4.0-64
Hi,
since a couple of days wifi is no longer working for me. I've noticed it since a few days and thought it would be fixed within the next update....but sadly this is not the case.

my wifi worked fine for the past few weeks/months.... and it still works fine on my mobile devices....
having look into my nm-connection editor it seems that my wifi connection has lost its WiFi credentials....even after entering my wifi credentials it isn't able to connect.
is this a known bug? is anyone else affected by this?

what worries me is that it says "Waiting for Authorization" while trying to connect to the WiFi.....
it's like it can't access the keyring, where the wifi password is stored....how weird?!
usually the wifi/connection passwords are stored in the KWallet manager or gnome-keyring, right?!

As you do, I also have the Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 and my wireless card works without any problem with ubuntu-16.04.2.
At this point, you have two choices.
1- Install an updated driver from Debian Sid Repository
2- Install Ubuntu 16.10 or Debian Testing (Which is one that I am currently using)
Updated Drivers
Get the updated driver here https://packages.debian.org/sid/all/firmware-atheros/download (just select a server to perform the download)
Open your termianl and go where you just downloaded the driver and type
sudo dpkg -i firmware-atheros*.deb
If everything went smooth during the driver installation, restart and let me know.

In case the above solution with the Debian Updated driver did not work, at this point I would suggest you to install Debian Testing because is working great on my XPS 13 9360. In case you want to give Debian a try, download the Debian Testing with the non-free software included.

If you want to stay with Ubuntu you can get the iso here www.ubuntu.com/.../desktop

What chip-set does your wireless card use?
Please post the output that you get after typing in the terminal lspci
