Alienware 15 constant crashes

Question

I purchesed an Alienware 15 laptop with a load of extras a few days ago, and was incredibly frustrated when the errors began. Earlier today I finally transferred all my files from my old laptop to my new one. When I had just finished I was met with a BSOD and a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I dissmissed it as nothing and began downloading some games to play - L4D2 and Borderlands2 to be precise - on my first proper gaming computer. As soon as I launched it I was met with another DPC VIOLATION error, I was beginning to get worried now. A few minutes after I relaunched my PC I got the error again, and again, and again 5 times. I did some research and durned off Fast Boot Mode. This seemed to fix it, and then I launched the game again. This time I got a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, I got it once again and then I decided to try to download a new driver, about halfway through the installation I then got a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I tried again to download, and two minutes after I opened Firefox, I got another DPC VIOLATION error. Here are my specs: Intel® Core™ i7-4720HQ 16GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M And windows 8.1 Its an alienware 15 and I've had it for two days, and yet it is riddled with errors Please help, I have tried everything and I dont know what to do Thanks

UPDATE: I have reinstalled Windows multiple times now and am still getting DRIER POWER STATE FAILURE and VIDEO TDR FAILURE errors - I am confident now that it is a hardware problem.
