Dell cannot tell me how to clean a backpack?

I own an Alienware M17x R3 laptop and purchased their Orion backpack.

On 11/18/2013 at work, I had a large beverage spill into the backpack. Being that this is a specially designed backpack and for the cost, I wanted to know how I can clean it properly to avoid causing any damage. After navigating Dell's website trying to just find some support options, I was able to locate their chat service. I started speaking to someone who eventually directed me to a different chat line. After connecting to them and explaining my problem (again), they then directed me to a phone number to call. After finally getting in touch with someone, I once again explained my issue to them and after hearing their scripted responses, I was yet again transferred to another department. Bear in mind, I am just trying to find information on how to clean a backpack. By now, I was frustrated. I once again explained my situation to yet another agent who give the same  scripted responses. They kept trying to give me the same answer. They told me to "soak up the liquid and wipe it down with a damp cloth". I had already explained that a large beverage was spilled into the bag, so a damp cloth would fix nothing. Finally after getting nowhere, I asked for a supervisor. When connected, he tried to tell me the same thing with the damp cloth. After explaining yet again the situation, he then proceeded to tell me that he was unable to help me. Dell customer support informed me they could not help me with a product I purchased from them. Repeatedly. After doing a back and forth of me looking for any support, and after no success, a supervisor, I was informed there were no other supervisors, and eventually told I was unable to be helped and hung up on. This gentleman claimed his name was Charlie (or some variant) This was and is by far the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a company. They were unable to answer any of my questions or solve my problem. So now I am stuck with a soaking wet (and possibly damaged) backpack with no knowledge or directions on what I can do to clean it. A simple question with most likely a simple resolution turned into a disaster and a waste of my evening with no resolution. I will never purchase from Dell again, and I will do everything in my power to make it known just how bad the "support" they provide is, as well as their complete unwillingness to help in any way. Since writing this, I have been contacted by someone from the "resolution " team.  This person was just as incompetent as the others I have spoken to.  He also told me to try wiping down my soaking wet bag with a damp cloth.  Isn't there some sort of intelligence screening process involved before working for such a large international company?  Seems like they will just hire any agent off the street who can read a script and take wild guesses to help solve angry customer's problems.  This total winner of a person is also trying to tell me he can do nothing for me, and he cannot escalate my issue any further.  So, a paying customer with a legitimate question and concern who just wants a quick resolution, cannot get any support whatsoever.  Having worked (and still do) in a call center for quite a while, I know for a fact there is always someone above you.  Unless his name is Dell, there is an escalation available.  I intend to pursue this for as long as possible to have my situation resolved, as well as following up with the agency on the current complaint and lodging a new complaint for the current lack of professionalism and total lack of caring for the customer.

A diatribe about not having any information on the Dell website about cleaning a backpack. Attention must be paid.

We are not going to have Dell documentation on how to clean a backpack. They gave you good responses to soak up the liquid and clean it. I do not know what else we could have done.
