Cannot see cursor on applications!

In black fields, such as a window of Dos, or a black background in Adobe photoshop, I can't see my cursor. This only happens when the background is black, such as a picture with a black background, or a shell such as "Putty."

What configurations should I change so i can see it?? thanks

If you want to find and use a different pointer:

Start Button / Settings / Control Panel / Mouse / Pointers.

I've tried that already, and I tried it again, and it doesn't work.

For some reason, on JUST a DOS window, or a black photoshop image background, i can't see the cursor.

I have a black background on my desktop, and things are fine.

It's just those two applications that I have problems with.

If you have a Microsoft Intellimouse, click on the mouse icon on the task bar. You can change the cursor charactoristics. Mine is a larger size and changes color depending on the background.
