Clear side covers?

Ready made plexiglass side panel, I doubt it.

Maybe another member could step in, with an idea.

You have to be careful with plastic/plexiglass for PC's (although I too don't know of anything made for Dell's).  FCC requires PC's to meet certain radiation/Radio Frequency Interference suppression requirements.  Plastic does not shield any radiation/RFI.  How much radiation would be emitted??? but something to consider.   

Du de a year old is not old for  PC. Mine is pushing 6  years and it still runs like a well oiled machine.

No,but there are plenty of do it yourself kits to do that.

The FCC regulation issue is only going to be a factor when your computer interferes with another device.  If it interferes with your neighbors device, thats a problem covered by the regulation.  If it interferes with your device, it may be covered by the same regulation, but you're less likely to get "caught". 

 

It isn't as if there are radio police roaming around.  If you were getting interference on your TV or phone from an illegally jacked up Ham radio, the FCC would be the place you would complain.

 

Will putting clear panels interfere with your cordless phone?  only one way to tell.
