Conversation of a Dell Tech and a Dell talker on the phone. DellTech: May I have your service tag # please? Dell Talker: What's a service tag # ? Dell Tech: It's a unique # to identify your system. Dell Talker: I don't think I have one. Dell Tech: Have you called for support before? Dell Talker: Yes. Dell Tech: Did they help you? Dell Talker: Yes. Dell Tech: Then you gave them a service #. You can find it on the side of your system unit. Dell Talker: It's 135790, but it's very hard to see. Dell Tech: Please verify your name, address and phone # Dell Talker: ( He does ) Dell Tech: What seems to be the problem? Dell Talker: I was running words and it's gone! Dell Tech: Did you go into the start menu and under programs, try to run it again? Dell Talker: It's gone. I mean there is nothing. Dell Tech: Is there anything on your monitor? Dell Talker: What's a monitor? Dell Tech: It's what you view your computer images with. Dell Talker: It's gone! My words are gone! Dell Tech: Do you have a cursor? Dell Talker: What's a cursor? Dell Tech: An arrow you point with your mouse. Dell Talker: No...It's gone. Dell Tech: Is your monitor turned on? Dell Talker: How do I tell? Dell Tech: Is there a green light on your monitor? Dell Talker: No, there isn't any lights. Dell Tech: Check and see if your monitor is plugged into an outlet. Dell Talker: Yes. Dell Tech: Check to see if the cable from your computer is plugged into your monitor. Dell Talker: Yes, but it's still hard to see. Dell Tech: Now check and see if the monitor cable is connected to your computer. Dell Talker: I'm looking...It's really hard to see. All I have is this flash light. The power went out about 15 minutes ago. Dell Tech: Do you have the original cartons you received your computer in? Dell Talker: Yes. Dell Tech: Well, pack it up and send it back. Dell Talker: Is it that bad? Dell Tech: Yelp...your too stupid to own a computer! We have not changed the names to protect the guilty. Are you kidding? Phones still work when the power goes out! Trust me or call your phone company. You never know, they just may have had a cell phone. Who cares anyway? It is just a joke. Not a technical math problem. Do you have the cartons your system came in?
