Speaker trouble

Last Sunday I couldn't sign online it kept saying to hook my modem up to the telephone line,After call tech support and walking me through everything she thought it might be a bad modem,after having a service tech come to my house and replace the modem it still wouldn't work so he thought it was a windows issue and had me re-install windows XP home addition,now not only do my speakers not work anymore but I also have no programs the were in my comp when I got it which was in Dec,04..anyone have any suggestions?..Thanks Trish

Along with reinstalling Windows, you will need to reinstall the Dell device drivers and the Dell applications software.  The Dell users manual that comes with most new PC's should detail what you need to do for your specific system.  If not, you can call Dell and they should be able to assist you.

Thanks,I spoke to Dell and they sent me the links to re-install..the only thing that stinks is my now brand new computer is super slow and I lost everything Dell installed..thaanks again for answering my question.
