XPS gen 2 issues

Hi:

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. When I try to turn my computer on, I now get a blank screen with a message that says "You have not connected the power extension cable to your Radeon 9800 video card. Please refer to the getting started guide.' of course, everything is connected.
I can not get past this screen. If I turn the computer on and off 4-8 times, I can eventually get the computer to boot up, but it is probably just a matter of time before this does not work anymore.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong?
I sometimes get an analog message as well on the monitor, and my printer can not be detected either through the firewire cable (this also started happening about the same time).
Thansk for any help!

Disconnect the printer from the computer and the restarted the computer. If you computers starts ok, the power supply maybe being taxed by the firewire port to much which causing a the video card not to have power necessary to work. Try to use USB port instead of Firewire port and see what happens.

IF this doesn't work...disconnect all cable from the system except monitor, keyboard and mouse and restarted system. If the problem still occurs, it is very possible the card is bad and will need replacement.
